Obama Warns Africa's 'Tyrant' Leaders
30 June, 2013
Cape Town — US President Barack Obama warned Sunday that Africa could only fulfil its rising potential with leaders who serve their people, not tyrants who enrich themselves.

Amaechi May Cancel NGF Meeting in Deference to Jonathan
26 June, 2013
The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, is considering the cancellation of today’s meeting by the members of the forum.
Presumably, the cancellation might be in deference to the dinner that President Goodluck Jonathan would have with the governors later in the day.
Amaechi, who is also the Governor of Rivers State, was already consulting with other governors.
While majority of them were said to be interested in the meeting, they were said to have reasoned that there was no way they would be through with it before the dinner.
